The Okanagan Valley is located in south-central British Columbia Canada. The valley is best known in B.C., Canada for its golf courses, sandy beaches, lake sports, farmer's markets, ski resorts and wineries. In fact the valley is the oldest wine producing region in BC, Canada!
The Okanagan Valley follows along the shores of a long chain of lakes - Okanagan Lake, Osoyoos Lake and Skaha Lake being the most popular. The other main lakes in the region include Vaseux, Wood, Kalamalka and Swan Lakes.
Highway #97 is the main route connecting communities in the Okanagan Valley. On the southern most end of the highway is a Canada / U.S.A. border crossing.
The main tourism destination communities in the valley include (south to north) Osoyoos, Oliver, Keremeos, Okanagan Falls, Penticton, Naramata, Summerland, Peachland, Kelowna, Lake Country and Vernon.
