Blue Mountain Trail
Penticton, BC British Columbia, Canada

The Blue Mountain Trail is a good work out with some elevation hiking following logging roads and along power lines. Much of the trail is through forests and open areas exposing hikers to the sun, especially near the power lines. Bring adequate water for hydration and head gear for protection from the sun hiking Blue Mountain.

From the gravel pit parking area start trekking over the south end bank and look for a road to your north-east. About a mile and a bit later down the access road take a right at the fork in the road. Another fork in the road presents itself about 2 miles from your parking spot. At this fork take a left and you are well on your way to Blue Mountain.

The Blue Mountain trail starts to twist and turn from here on in. During this portion of the trek, look up for power lines about 3 miles from your parking spot. Some follow the road route to the look out, others take the direct route following the power lines to the views. The elevation peak of Blue Mountain is about 4600 feet and has great views of the surrounding Okanagan Valley.
