Silver Star Mountain is a year round recreation destination situated in the Okanagan Valley located north of the community of Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. The mountain destination is popular for downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the winter. In the summer the mountain is a hiking and mountain biking destination.

The village on the mountain includes accommodations, cafes, restaurants, galleries and ski shops. The pastel color buildings and shops of the village are connected by a boardwalk trail.

Silver Star Ski Mountain covers over 1100 hectares of terrain. From the top of the ski mountain the vertical drop is over 2500 ft. There are a total of 10 chair lifts. The largest being a six passenger chair lift, the Comet Express, that rushes skiers to the top of the mountain.

There are 60+ runs serviced by the lifts including the Powder Gulch Quad leading to Putnam creek and many "Black Diamond Runs". Cross Country skiers will love Silver Star for the over 60 kilometres of cross country snow trails through the forests. Snow Boarders come to enjoy the new terrain park to try out there latest tricks.

Silver Star Mountain Resort is a mecca of activity for families. On the ski mountain there is the Adventure Park where children charge downhill on inner tubes, ride a snowmobile at the Mini-Z track or play hockey on the outdoor skating rink.

For the romantic couple on the mountain there are sleigh rides, a guided snowshoe tour, an indoor climbing wall, day spa, fitness centre and a 180 seat auditorium for weekly events and entertainment.

Accommodations on the ski hill are plenty, but do not be fooled because in peak season vacancy rates are very low as many come to Silver Star to experience a BC winter getaway.
