Manitou
Regional Park is a community
recreation destination south of the community of Naramata, British
Columbia, Canada in the Okanagan Valley. The popular local park
is a good place to visit for families and for those who enjoy
lake activities. It is one of many parks located on Okanagan
Lake.
Families, especially, enjoy the playground section
and the bike paths in the park. Everybody seems to enjoy the sandy
beach and access to the many water activities enjoyed on Okanagan
Lake like swimming, suntanning, canoeing and boating.
The regional park is well maintained and is home
to many community events. The large green lawns provide plenty
of picnic space and frisbee space. Not far off is some horseshoe
pits and a baseball diamond. Washrooms and change rooms are located
in Manitou Regional Park.
Note that there are no fires in this park and
that dogs are not permitted. However... there is a designated
dog park just down the beach from the Manitou Regional Park.
