The Community of Osoyoos, BC is located in the extreme southern portion of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley (referred to as the "Okanogan" by our American neighbours). • Flyinga recreational gravel airstrip for smaller fixed-wing and ultralight (European microlight) aircraft. Radio controlled model aircraft enthusiasts also are found occasionally using this airstrip. The airstrip directions are 12 and 30. It is 853 meters (2800 feet) long, 15 meters (50 feet) wide. This is not a controlled strip nor does it have any landing lights. Plans are currently underway for paving and widening the current airstrip to 16 meters, plus to have it extended by an additional 755 meters. Future planning will include facility infrastructure, service and airspace control aids. For radio communications use ATF 123.2 and for flight service use 126.7 . The airstrip is located alongside Crowsnest Highway 3 north-west of Osoyoos, south-east of Spotted Lake.

Osoyoos Lake is a host to about 30 different species including Black Crappie, Kokanee, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, and Perch.
