Penticton, British Columbia is a lake community in the Central Okanagan Valley region situated on the shores of Okanagan Lake and Skaha Lake. The community is situated in between the two recreational lakes and is a major centre in the valley.

There is a sandy beach anchoring the community on both sides of town. Across the street from the sandy beaches and lakefront are outdoor patio restaurants, accommodations, attractions and retail stores. The beaches, in the summer, are busy with people swimming and suntanning.
