Below
the community is Okanagan Lake and plenty of water activity. Many
water sports thrive on the lake like swimming, boating, water
skiing, tubing, beach worshipping and canoeing. The sandy beach
surounding the lake is often enjoyed by many in the summer drawing
people to the shores so to enjoy hours of relaxation and play.

The desert hills of Summerland
is home to some of the popular sprawling orchards, fruit fields
and to the rows of grape vines of the internationally recognized
wineries and vineyards. In Summerland the Kettle
Valley Steam Railway (KVR) draws visitors from around the world
to be part of history and to witness the "Great Train Robbery"
consisting of local actors.
In Summerland BC
one can explore the walking trails of the "Peach Orchard
Loop" and Lakeshore Loop, hike up Giant's
Head Mountain, play a round of golf and meet at the "19th
Hole", take a wine or orchard tour, or stimulate your senses
and explore the fields of shrubs, flowers, and trees at the 6
hectare (15 acre) Ornamental Gardens in Summerland. Winter brings
snowmobiling, alpine skiing, snow boarding, and cross country
skiing to the Okanagan Valley and all it's communities. |
