the Canadian winter seasons. The presence of the local looming
mountains
creates an abundance of high alpine peaks around the valley
for snow boarding enthusiasts to excell on. The Okanagan
Valley mild climates, fresh powder conditions and the snow
board trails is where it is at for boarding in Canada.
The Okanagan
Valley Snow Board Hills in British Columbia
are created for all skill sets of boarders with some valley
snow hills expanding their facilities to include snow board
parks and playgrounds. The main snow board hills of the
Okanagan Valley enjoy many trails enjoyed by, both, skiers
and snow boarders. There are "black diamond ski runs" which
are mainly designed for the expert boarder with big drops
and plenty of opportunity for speed and air time. And "green
runs" designed for beginners with gradual slopes, tow ropes,
T-bars and room to wipe out.
The Okanagan
Valley area of British Columbia is one of the key areas
in BC for Snow Boarding because
of the numerous snow mountains in the region so closely
located to each other. The communities of Kelowna, Vernon,
Penticton and Osoyoos are nearby communities to some of
the more popular snow board hills. Apex
Ski Mountain
is near Penticton.

and Crystal
Mountain
are located near Kelowna.
Silver
Star
is kitty corner to Vernon. Mount
Baldy
snowboarding is found outside the community of Osoyoos,
BC, Canada.
All Okanagan
Valley Snow Board Hills have concession
stands, lessons and snow board rentals on site. The larger
snow boarding mountains have restaurants, pubs, lodgings,
retail stores and coffee houses.
Plan accordingly
as accommodations on the snow mountains can be limited.
In the communities in the Okanagan Valley, at the foot of
some of the ski hills, are plenty of accommodations to select
from. Some as close as 30 minutes away by car from the ski
lift.
